Google's proposed $1 billion data center project at the Port of Little Rock will "likely draw more than 100 megawatts of power" according to a revised public notice posted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District.

The International Energy Agency says AI-focused data centers can consume 100 megawatts or more, as much electricity as 100,000 households. The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that there were approximately 88,000 households in Little Rock in 2024.
