Google will soon be blocking third-party cookies in Chrome / Chromium , and implementing a new Privacy Sandbox under the guise of Building a more private web.

In my opinion the changes will actually make it harder for users to control their privacy as it will force tracking companies to become more invasive and gather other metrics about your system in order to identify all your browsing habits.
