Ch-Ch-Check It | Google Chrome Helvetica Fix | Helvetica Displaying Improperly in Chrome @ChChCheckIt | Uploaded 10 years ago | Updated 1 hour ago
Lately I've noticed that some fonts weren't looking right in Google Chrome. After some investigation I found out that it was Helvetica that wasn't displaying properly. Some forums said to uninstall Hlevetica, but why would I do that? Another forum suggested an extension called Stylebot, which ended up working flawlessly.
Download Stylebot:
chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/stylebot/oiaejidbmkiecgbjeifoejpgmdaleoha
Add the following style to your Global Stylesheet:
@font-face {
font-family: Helvetica;
src: local('Arial');
}
@font-face {
font-family: "Helvetica Neue";
src: local('Arial');
}
@font-face {
font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Custom';
src: local('Arial');
}
@font-face {
font-family: Helvetica;
font-weight: bold;
font-weight: 700;
src: local('Arial');
}
@font-face {
font-family: "Helvetica Neue";
font-weight: bold;
font-weight: 700;
src: local('Arial');
}
@font-face {
font-family: "Helvetica Neue Custom";
font-weight: bold;
font-weight: 700;
src: local('Arial');
}
Ta-da! Now your websites should display Arial in place of Helvetica.
