The Clark County School District’s oldest continuously operating school, Goodsprings Elementary School turned 100 in 2013 with one teacher and 11 students. Though listed on the National Register of Historic Places the town of 200 residents 35 miles south of Las Vegas has fought hard to keep the school open.
