Goodnight and Go was the first song I’d solo mixed and produced that had been synced to TV. Hearing it on the OC before I was even 3/4 of the way through finishing Speak for Yourself gave me a lot of confidence that I might actually manage to mix the album by myself. Thanks to Alexandra Patsavas for the OC syncs back in the day!
You can hear it reworked as the finale of ‘The Cursed Child’ play and a few years after that by my ol’ pal Ariana Grande. Enabling the song to find new friends each time in these new spaces.
It also features a guitar solo from the late great, genuine, kind and funny genius that was Jeff Beck who I’m so grateful to have worked with (check out The Ronnie Scotts performance).
This Friday, 20+ years on, you can hear it in all its sparkling detail thanks to the remaster and in the highest quality ever for those services that support HQ too on October 17th.
The 20th anniversary heavyweight black vinyls are also available for pre-order on my website if you really wanna hear it in its grandest audio glory.
