Are you aware of the catastrophe that is said to have a "70%" chance of happening within 30 years?
A magnitude 7-class inland earthquake with an epicenter somewhere in the southern Kanto region, has been occurring once every hundred or so years, and the next one is said to be about to happen.
According to the government, the earthquake is expected to cause approximately 6,150 deaths, 93,400 injuries, and total damage over 40 trillion yen.
What is even more frightening is the possibility that in conjunction with this earthquake, Mt. Fuji could erupt for the first time in 300 years.
If that happens, power plants, various transportation systems, automobiles, agriculture, and fishery will all lose their functions.
