Today’s Fortnite event, titled “The End,” certainly lived up to its name. It started with a rocket launch and then progressed to…the entire game blinking out of existence. At least for now.
First, the countdown hit zero, and the new Dusty Divot rocket built by the visitor launched into the air.
Yet again, it went into another portal in the sky, and then came out of one.
But it wasn’t just one rocket. Presumably as some sort of multiverse thing, there were loads of rockets that started pouring out of various rifts. They all went random locations around the map for a while, blinking in and out of rifts.
Finally, they all settled at one spot, right in front of the suspended-in-time meteor. It created a huge, uber-rift and then the meteor went into it.
Then, the meteor came out, flanked by a few rockets. The rockets split and hit various points around the map while the meteor pressed into the Zero Point forcefield at Loot Lake, puncturing it.
Everyone was flung not just in the air, but completely off the map. After hanging there for a bit, we were all sucked into the vortex, map included, and then the entire game blinked out of existence.
