I contemplated not sharing this, the dry sorrow, anguish and dark undertone comes from a very real place.. Before anyone worries, on my behalf, this was born from some intense physical pain about 3 in the morning, nothing more.. It was a rather quick song, perhaps 45 minutes in the making..
As I began thinking deeper of some of the meaning, some of my thoughts that I play with often lead to a place of believing this is a "prison planet" of sorts.. I wont expand on that, I think most of you get it.. So as I look around the world, or what this world has chosen to show us..The amount of suffering that is occuring is insurmountable. So this song is for you "world" and the power structures that abide. I feel a lot of us are fed up with it, and enough is enough, and we wish to "be free of you" ..
I want everyone/anyone who has read this far, to know, I am always the optimist, though I flirt with such moods of melancholy and this one being, I am not really sure.. I am wired to look for those smallest tangents of faith and hope..So yeah, the pain is real and scary, and somewhat unbearable, I am litteraly sitting here crying from it trying to finish typing. I have opted out of using any narcotic pain medications, due to a previous 21 year addiction that ended in 2018. Of which 16 of those I not once touched a musical instrument.. I love the clarity of mind now, and I can not bear going back. I also love where I have been, and the experiences I had along the way. Life is a freeway with many on and off ramps, the key, I believe is knowing what exit you're supposed to take. .. In ending, say a prayer for all those people we do not know, the nameless ones, the silent ones.... I will be fine, because I found my freedom, and I feel like fighting for everyone elses rather than lying down from pain and being silenced.
So yeah I know, some heavy floyd vibes.. lol .. I cant escape it
