Really glad to see another level by SkCray Ace, especially seeing them try a completely different style. 'Good Night' is a Jayuff inspired level that has a star and or space type theme which is pulled off really well without using generic planet art you see in most space levels. There really isn't much to say other than that so lets get right into it
The first part of the level is a very atmospheric part, with there being a lot of open area. I really like the minor movements with the stars that are connected to the blocks, makes it feel a little more lively. I feel like some more block movements could help liven up the part more, as it's pretty static otherwise. The ship part that proceeds is just like the cube, but has more decoration and colors. Personally I really like the little progression it has here as it also happens with the progression of the song.
The next few parts that follow seem like some sort of city in the sky or skyscrapers coming from below to me. I think this change is really fitting with the level and the designs of the parts are very clean. In all these parts you can see some sort of reference to the sky, whether it be stars, the moon, and even star constellations in one part. The flow between all these parts work very well as they're different enough to not feel repetitive but still give off the same feeling and atmosphere.
The last part of the level has the same design as the first part but slightly altered, which I personally love when levels wrap up by showing how it started. Once again thought I would've liked to see a bit more movement with the blocks, but otherwise it's really nice. As for the gameplay, it's about average and there's not much to say about it. It's pretty balanced and it's all pretty readable.
As I said before, I'm really glad SkCray Ace is branching out with their style and it's definitely working out for them. Cant wait to see more levels by them in the future!
