In the impoverished Southeastern corner of Brazil, rapidly advancing technology gives birth to giant armored vehicles called the Caveirãos. Referred to by the public as Peacekeepers or known to criminals by its more menacing title: The Big Skull these assault trucks carry out the elite counter-terrorist operations set-up by the special policing unit BOPE against ongoing urban warfare.
Despite their rivalry with other military agencies (such as ROTA, NEPOM, & COMANF), the BOPE have earned their reputation as most intimidating when combating in the close-quarters environment of the favela slums against drug traffickers, rioters, arrastões or hostage/VIP negotiations. Sometimes they get carried away with their wacky hi-jinks (like collateral damage or unconstitutional dragnets), but theyre just trying to get by the best they can on a tight budget.
