The World Gold Council has a long history of striving to encourage gold’s use in innovative industrial applications and technologies. Noting the surge in promising gold-focused academic research, and mindful that gold can be pivotal in developing solutions with promising social or environmental benefits, we revitalised our programme of supporting advanced research and development projects.
This short video features one such project: the exciting work being undertaken by Canada’s National Research Council at its new cutting-edge facility in Mississauga, Ontario, focused on developing gold-based catalysts for converting captured CO2 into something useful. We're proud to have supported this work and look forward to further collaborations to advance potential scientific solutions to some of humankind's more pressing challenges.
