Happy new year! I recently acquired a new bass, which I now play constantly. Anyways, I felt like writing a song that addressed the problems around troubled youth. I know of a few myself.
Find A Better is a VideoSong, a new medium with 2 rules:
1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice).
2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds).
LYRICS:
You've got it in your home
You're getting there
You'll make it out I swear
It's hard to speak your mind
Sometimes it's all you do
So then you turn the needle on yourself
So let's find a better
Let's find a better way
To help you
Let's find a better
Let's find a better way
For you to come alive
You long so much to be
On your own, you want it bad
You know you've had enough
Your self-inflicted hate
Is not the way to curb the pain
You're stronger than you know, I know
So let's find a better
Let's find a better way
To help you
Let's find a better
Let's find a better way
For you to come alive
All of us, we'll chase the universe, unbound and free
Pull the stops out, let it fly, and we'll be off

Just a rockin cover of one of my favorite songs of all time. I had a lot of fun with this one. Use headphones or a good set of speakers!
LYRICS
[ PRELUDE ]
Theres a place in the world for the angry young man
With his working class ties and his radical plans
He refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl,
And hes always at home with his back to the wall.
And hes proud of his scars and the battles hes lost,
And he struggles and bleeds as he hangs on his cross
And he likes to be known as the angry young man.
Give a moment or two to the angry young man,
With his foot in his mouth and his heart in his hand.
Hes been stabbed in the back, hes been misunderstood,
Its a comfort to know his intentions are good.
And he sits in a room with a lock on the door,
With his maps and his medals laid out on the floor,
And he likes to be known as the angry young man.
I believe Ive passed the age of consciousness & righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too, I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right, ohhhhh
And theres always a place for the angry young man,
With his fist in the air and his head in the sand.
And hes never been able to learn from mistakes,
So he cant understand why his heart always breaks.
And his honor is pure and his courage as well,
And hes fair and hes true and hes boring as hell!
And hell go to the grave as an angry old man.
[ KICKASS GUITAR SOLO ]
And theres always a place for the angry young man
With his working class ties and his radical plans
He refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl,
Hes always at home with his back to the wall.
And hes proud of his scars and the battles hes lost,
He struggles and bleeds til he hangs on his cross
And he likes to be known as the angry young man.
