Hey guys. Goldentusk here with even MORE fun news. 2016 doesn’t seem to be stopping, as I just received my advance copies of a new and exciting acting book called Teen Girls’ Comedic Monologues that are Actually Funny and I wrote two original monologues that made it into the final edit. Best Friends…for Never? About a girl breaking up with her best friend because the “best” adjective just doesn’t apply to them anymore and “You Call this Punishment?” about a girl discussing her detention with her social studies teacher and why studying dead presidents is just not going to help her be a fashion designer. This is actually the third time I’ve been published in the series of Applause Acting Series books from Alisha Gaddis. I had two published in the Teen Boys’ Monologue book and three in the men’s version. The monologues are all written by comedians and comic writers and if you need some fresh material for auditions, definitely check out the series on Amazon.
Did you know that I’m a writer out in Los Angeles, as well, aside from all the acting we talked about last week? I write everything we produce on the Goldentusk YouTube channel, including Bad Timing which was nominated for Outstanding Writing by the LA WebFest, but I’ve also written for National Lampoon and their sketch show, Lemmings, which starred the Workaholics guys and Jillian Bell from Idiotsitter and published my own children’s book for Halloween called Peter, the Paranoid Pumpkin.
In other news, this week I shot a fun sketch with Travis Richey and Jason Horton at YouTube Space LA which should be coming out in a month or so and I held auditions for Season 2 of Bad Timing.
