Note: Kouko mentions that she began drinking coffee regularly since the vacation of her 3rd year of high school. The 3rd (final) year is when students go about writing entrance exams for college, so they have to study as much as possible. A lot of this studying occurs during the summer vacation, and drinking coffee helps to keep one alert apparently (coffee never seemed to help ME when I was studying for exams lol). I'm assuming this is the case, though. She seems to get everything she wants with money, so...
