After beating Toadonpa and getting new equipment from the now-open shops of Lunpa, you can re-enter Dodonpa's fortress and go back to Donpa to receive a Djinni from him (after allowing Master Hammet to escape first, of course).
After this, there's nothing left to do in the old areas of the game, so it's finally time to progress the storyline. Head to the Suhalla Desert, near Tolbi, where you will encounter several tornado-like obstacles that will throw you into the air. While caught in one, use Douse, and you will enter a battle with a Tornado Lizard.
Other than that, the desert is pretty straightforward, with yet another Mimic waiting for you as you progress.
