We searched YouTube for some Cinematic & Anamorphic skiing content - zero results. So we took the BRAND NEW 20mm T1.8 1.33x Autofocus Anamorphic lens with the Sony A7SIII, to the mountains of Norway and threw ourselves down the mountain. We’ve collected some sample shots of this lens so you can have a sneak peek at the footage before the OFFICIAL release day.

There’s some handheld footage, gimbal stuff, we experimented and definitely risked our gear for these shots. @SIRUIImaging sent us to the mountains with their new lenses to create the product launch video - and they were amazing to let us share this on our channel too.
I (Bart) and obsessed with skiing, so it was amazing to pair my two passions.
The fact that we have access to an AUTOFOCUS anamorphic lens still blows my mind. The AF in the 20mm is even improved from the 40mm, and we much prefer the wider framing. We’ve zoomed in most of the footage as we were shooting on a full frame camera and this is a S35 frame lens. We’re super hyped to have an anamorphic lens for run and gun filmmaking.
The quality it delivers is outstanding, the flaring is really epic, and has the blue or natural flare options - we chose more neutral flare for the golden hour mountain vibes. With regards to the size, we had zero issues with handheld or the gimbal while skiing, its super compact. We can't wait to dive in more but this lens is a BANGER.
