A brilliant song written by the genius Gary Kemp of the 80's group Spandau Ballet. This song (which appeared on their third album 'True' in 1983) was perhaps overshadowed by the hit title track 'True'; but it is still every bit as cleverly written, with some complex chords and slightly mysterious lyrics.
'Gold' has a rather James Bond-esque sound and feel to it; as such I believe it would have made a great theme tune to one of the films of that era.
Given the current gold price, this seems like an appropriate song to showcase!
