I discovered this on accident one day, and the rest was done with trial and error. Whenever you see me warp upwards, that's from me mashing jump in a specific area. For the first one, you have to stand in that precise spot and mash jump as the door's closing. The timing is difficult.
The floor out here isn't actually solid and you can't build anything on it. I was able to place a few random housing items slightly outside, but not much.
Funny enough, the day/night cycle happens out in the void. During the day, you can see a glare up above, like in this video. At night, it's completely black out there.
