Flickers from the casket
Shine through mud and thorns
Crawling to the graveyard
To the candle, I am sworn

Luminous wicks before me
Wielded by skeletal hands
Radiant decomposition
Mortality they demand

Frozen in my footsteps
Mesmerized by their torches
No choice but to heed
The beckoning of corpses

No choice but to follow
Blinded by their rays
Cadaveric light that calls me
From beyond the grave

Taken into earth
Dragged six feet below
My eyes begin to sink
This body growing cold

Gravel pounds my face
Above I hear a laugh
Smoke from candles snuffed
To trace my epitaph
