If you are wondering why there are laser dots all over the place, other than my own, it's because the evening was sponsored, in part, by CBS' "The Big Bang Theory," and the brain trust at their marketing department thought it'd be a good idea to hand out "Big Bang Theory" branded laser pointers to a bunch of people drinking alcohol with a large projection screen in front of them.
