The original 1830 Edition of the Book of Mormon taught a very different version of the Godhead than what modern Mormons believe today. One could argue if the original 1830 Edition of the Book of Mormon taught Modalism or some other erroneous form of the Trinity but what is clear is that it doesn't teach the modern Mormon view of the Godhead. These constantly changing self contradictory views of the Godhead in Mormonism shows that it is not of divine origin.

Here is some food for thought about the Trinity for those who don't get the Trinity:
Isaiah 48:16-17 The Redeemer Lord says "I am the Lord thy God." Who is the Redeemer other than Jesus Christ?
Hebrews 1:8 The Son is called God. Colossians 2:9 Jesus has the fulness of the Godhead within himself. John chapter 1 makes it clear that Jesus created the world & is God.

Isaiah 44:24 says the Redeemer Lord created everything. John 1:3 & 10 says Jesus created all things. John 10:30 says The Father and the Son are 1.
1 John 5:20 calls Jesus the true God.
1 John 5:7 says these 3 are 1. It is clear.

Jesus is called Emmanuel which means God with us. See Isaiah 7:14 & Matthew 1: 23. Also in John 20:28 Jesus is called "my Lord and my God." John 5:18 & Philip 2:6 say that Jesus is equal with God making him God. Jesus is the same God, John 1:1.

Colossians 1: 15 says that Jesus is the image that we can see that represents the invisible God (1 Timothy 1: 17). The Father and Holy Ghost cannot be seen because they are spirits. 1 Timothy 2:5, Jesus is our mediator and only way to the Father (John 14:6). John 1: 14, Jesus' mission was to become a man, reveal the Father, and die for our sins.

God the Father:
Jeremiah 23:23-24 God fills heaven and earth.
1 Kings 8:27 Nothing can contain God.
Proverbs 15:3 God sees everything everywhere all at once.
Psalm 139:7-10 God is spirit that is everywhere.
John 4:24 God is a spirit.
Luke 24:39 - a spirit does not have flesh and bones.
