Dante claims Godfrey's recent public "crash outs" and heated rants are just a defense mechanism fueled by undiagnosed trauma and untreated ADHD, arguing that 98% of the time, Godfrey actually stands up for the community behind the scenes.
But here is the real issue I see with that defense: words don't build infrastructure. In today's landscape, just saying you "defend" a community isn't a free pass anymore. If you are an outsider trying to align yourself with a group, the price of admission has gone up. People are no longer looking for verbal defenses—they are looking for tangible, financial, and structural results. Look at historical figures like Minister Louis Farrakhan; love him or hate him, you can’t deny the physical work, the mediation, and the local impact he put into the community.
When you don't have concrete actions backing up your platform, any public misstep looks like a direct attack, and "untreated trauma" stops working as an excuse. If you want the respect of a community you aren't natively born into, you have to add real value to it.
