Violence, injustice, poverty, and hunger represent only a fraction of the pains that plague the lives of millions of people in our world. Many of us long for the day when these fixable pains cease to exist. One thing is certain, Jesus said, “in this world you will have trouble.” We all know that life is never absent of pain as many of us have experienced circumstances, situations, and disappointments that have brought us to our knees. But the gospel is found in the second half of Jesus’s statement, “…but take heart! I have overcome the world.” Our hope is that this song serves as a flicker of hope in the darkness. Our prayer is that this song strengthens your faith as you rest in what is true: God Will Prevail.
