Another way to skip battles in this area for a NG+ speedrun, kind of pointless but thrown in for the sake of documenting skips in this game. This is the result of some minor tests, there's still other stuff to test.
If you want to learn all the glitches, skips and glitch-techniques that my colleagues and I have found in this game. You can check-out our GoWIII Glitch FAQ: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/943928-god-of-war-iii/faqs/59988

Points of interest:
1. I found a Sky Jump location:

2. Youtuber Vulcairn found this while mucking around with the above Sky Jump:

3. I've demonstrated that Sky Jumps aren't required to get to the chain, and you can even get to the further-down areas of the chain. But so far it seems that the triggers that load the upper-areas of the chain are only near the base of the chain, but this still needs to be confirmed.
4. While you are going up the chain out-of-bounds, the game sucks Kratos back into the chain when you get to the Fire Titan sequence. It may be possible to continue flying oob past the upcoming climbing sections, but this still needs to be tested.
EDIT: To get the chain to load where it did, you must first hit a trigger located just a bit further forward in the level from where you first see Kratos in this vid.
