findlestick | God of War 2: 'Unloading-trigger' exploit (demonstration) @findlestick | Uploaded June 2016 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Just a quick demonstration to show that - not only does skipping loading triggers have an affect on this game - but going around 'unloading-triggers' can prevent the game from unloading an upcoming area.
Points of interest:
1. At the platform that you first glide to, there is an 'unloading-trigger' located there. And if you go through this trigger, the game will unload the real innards of the rotating room, and replace it with a fake interior. So if you try to enter this room in an attempt to skip the battle, you get stuck since nothing further loads this way.
2. However, going around this trigger lets you keep the real innards of the rotating room loaded, which is a new concept that needs to be explored more in this game and the others.
Need to test to see if this can be done at other areas...
