I've come to realize my hurry was a form of hiding - hiding from my fear, hiding from my pain, hiding from my insecurity.
To slow down meant being present with these feelings and thoughts, hurry felt like the path to peace.
I thought a virtuous man was one who was busy with the "Lord's work"
However, I found I was so busy doing things FOR God that I didn't have any time to be WITH God.
It's like a grandson who shows up at his grandfather's house just to help out around the property, but never to sit down for a cup of coffee.
Sure, the young man is convinced he's a good grandson, but the truth is, he doesn't know the first thing about his grandpa.
