Bout to talk about Ninjago and it’s later seasons so don’t read if you’re worried about spoilers.
Btw, finally convinced myself to watch ‘Ninjago’ and the later seasons of ‘Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu’
It’s really the type of think where you have to binge Hands of Time then jump straight onto ‘Sons of Garmadon’ otherwise it’s confusing.
No surprise, Kai’s my favourite character.
Originally I neglected the later seasons because I was saying that they ruined his character.
He’s yet to have a proper ark (fight me)
And for someone who was so quick to fight his dad the first time he saw him, they’re relationship quickly mended.
We’ve witnessed that Kai’s not /super/ forgiving. He can be, but still. And I think they should’ve made him passive aggressive towards his parents still. Like, as soon as they left his childhood was ruined. They might’ve had a good reason to go but that doesn’t mean he has to forgive them.
Also in the most recent season (sea bound) I have a few complaints... of course you got the natural ones of an OOC Kai for the entire season (especially the way they made him so dependant), but also he DEAD ASS DROWNED AND THEY WENT N O W H E R E WITH THAT?! WTF??
I will be mad about this and you can’t stop me.
Also Wu and Zane need to learn that they’ve reached their limit for Kidnappings and fakeout deaths.
2 more things because of course I’m not done!
1- If Kai doesn’t have emotional issues/trauma in Crystallised no one’s going to hear the end of it.
2- When I finished Seabound, seeing the ‘in Memory of Kirby Morrow’ made me cry, way more than Nya’s stupid ark (it was a total cop out. Sue me.)
