Gnosia is a werewolf-like visual novel in which you play as a character on a ship who, alongside crew mate Setsu, is attempting to solve the mystery of why the two of you are constantly looping after playing games to cold freeze the rest of the inhabitants who have been infected and have become Gnosia. This is my representation (in cocktail form) of the game that is based on another cocktail called the Imposter, and has similar components as a Bloody Mary, but is much brighter and more reminiscent of a margarita.
The Gnosia:
- 3 Cherry Tomatoes
- 3 Basil Leaves
- 1oz/30ml Simple Syrup
- 1oz/30ml Lime Juice
- 2oz/60ml London Dry Gin
- Dash of Tabasco Sauce
Recipe:
1. Add the tomatoes and basil to the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
2. Muddle gently, then add the rest of the ingredients.
3. Add ice and quickly shake for a few seconds.
4. Double strain into a blending container with ice.
5. Blend for about 12 seconds until smooth.
6. Pour into a coupe and garnish with a basil leaf and a cherry tomato.
Simple Syrup:
- 200g/1 cup White Sugar
- 200g/1 cup Water
Recipe:
1. Add sugar and water to a saucer.
2. Simmer over low heat until the sugar has dissolved (3-5 mins).
3. Take off heat and let sit to cool for a few minutes.
4. Strain into a glass container, seal and store in the fridge. Lasts for about a month.
