Terrain Mode in the GMC HUMMER EV provides enhanced control while you’re off-roading at low speeds like rock crawling. Terrain Mode uses Active Braking, in addition to regen*, so you can control your speed using only the accelerator. It helps mimic the torque control of traditional two-foot driving, all through the use of just the accelerator pedal. You can also customize your braking based on the difficulty of the terrain with these modes:

• Drive—for mild off-roading and less aggressive braking
• Low—for more challenging, technical, off-roading and more aggressive braking
• And for even more confidence while on steep grades, Terrain Mode holds/keeps your vehicle in place while your foot is off the accelerator.  
*Regen is functional in Terrain Mode at some speeds when tire slip is not detected.
