Understanding Compression in both creative AND corrective instances can really help to easily glue your beats together. I find these techniques extremely helpful when I'm trying to get the most out of my dawless recordings and most importantly, for me, fix my "dawless" jams. Say you recorded something in, and in the moment it sounded great but you didn't realize you left the bass WAY too loud. Well, there's a way to massage that back into place to get your track to a solid mix.
