Behold! The demo from some shitty hack called "Dracula's Revenge". This is the first time I've seen a demo in any game actually go to the 'Continue?' screen, and what's more is that you can select the options yourself. Not that it matters, as the demo resumes "playing" anyway after you choose. No shortcuts here!

(Yeah yeah, I know, the demo "player" is still moving and whipping as though it's the original level, that's why this dumb shit happens. I'd still have expected the hack to have new demos recorded though.)

I don't know much about this thing other than it sucks, and most likely is the result of "Babby's First ROMhack".

For something called "Dracula's Revenge", it's disappointingly weak and lacking in difficulty. It's actually *easier* than the standard Castlevania game (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), but this isn't really by any conscious design. I got through four levels of this crud and it looks like the only changes to the game are the tile placements; enemies, items and triggers are still all located in the same place, meaning you get impossible-to-reach candles under the floor combined with enemies that either spawn in mid-air over a hole, or go ahead and spawn inside a fucking wall. In both cases they're completely useless.

At one point I swung the whip to hit a bat and a fucking "pork chop" (they look nothing like pork chops!) exploded into the level.

Figure that out.
