Gloria Satterfield, age 57, lost her life under suspicious circumstances. She was on her way to work as a housekeeper for the Murdaugh family and the story is the family dogs ran around her, causing her to trip. She lost her balance and fell down, tragically passing away a few weeks later due to complications sustained from her injuries.
The weird thing is - her employer, Alex Murdaugh had just purchased an Umbrella policy and he filed a claim on Gloria's family's behalf. Instead of the settlement money reaching her family, it wound up in the hands of Alex Murdaugh and was spent up. Questions have swirled around on whether or not what happened to Gloria was just misfortune, or something more sinister.
