Deceptive diagrams of a half-illuminated Gleason map were also presented, but in reality, if you squashed a globe (or turned a Gleason flat earth map into a globe) the lighted portion on the Gleason map will be kind of bean shaped, as shown in the bottom corners of the Gleason map. No historical record of the Antarctic 24 hour sun exists, and the atmosphere most definitely acts like a convex lens, shaping the distribution of the sun on flat earth.
