The Global Game Jam site at the University of Staffordshire is organised by the Games Development Student Society in collaboration with the Games Institute.
The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is one of the most memorable events in the international game development calendar. Participants can push their skills, collaborate with new people, and create unique game experiences in just 48 hours. “The energy and creativity that emerge from GGJ are incredible,” says Professor Christopher Headleand, Head of the University of Staffordshire Games Institute. “Our students, through the Games Development Society, take full ownership of the event, and every year they create an unforgettable.” The jam provides a unique opportunity for aspiring developers to work under tight deadlines gaining experience in rapid prototyping, to build their portfolios in an intense but rewarding environment.
