Magellan and Greyhound | Glencolumbkille Beach and Cliff Hike | Ireland, Ep. 14 @MagellanandGreyhound | Uploaded August 2020 | Updated October 2024, 32 minutes ago.
We really enjoyed this hike. After visiting the Glencolumbkille Folk Village, we began our hike from Glencolumbkille Beach, up the cliffs overlooking Skelpoonagh Bay, past an old Signal Tower and to Sturrall. The North Atlantic Ocean is on one side of you the entire time and it is simply majestic.

This video is the fourteenth of a daily video series of our travels to Ireland and Northern Ireland in June of 2018. From walking the lush greenery in the rugged hills and glens, hiking the breathtaking cliffs and coastal mountains, exploring caves and crags and remote off-shore islands, to the castles and ruins and hallmarks of pre-neolithic civilizations, we can honestly say it was one of the best times we have ever had. And do you know what was the most beautiful about the Emerald Isle? The people. In the cities or the countryside, to the north and the south, in pubs, tea rooms or during a walk. Some of the most warm, kind, affable (and usually very funny) people you will ever meet are in Ireland, and they'll be sure to fill you in on where all the good craic is.

If interested in our trip, please keep checking out this playlist as the series is released.
