How strong is your relationship with God?
Now there's a question that's guaranteed to cause a case of the 'guilties'. How strong is my relationship with God? Well not as strong as it ought to be. Everyone would answer the same to that wouldn't they?
Actually the Bible's got a really interesting answer to the question "How strong is your relationship with God?" and it's all about the High Priest. Do you remember him back in the Old Testament? People like Aaron, who would dress up like Jesus our great High Priest, and these High Priests would wear these strange bits of clothing.
So for instance, on the breastplate there would be jewels that had the names of the sons of Israel on them. And so they were kind of wearing God's people on them. And as Aaron made atonement for the people of God he would go through into the most holy place, this picture of Heaven and he would stand before God carrying his people on his heart.
Well it's just a picture of what the LORD Jesus Christ has done - He has taken us on to Himself and he has made atonement for all our sins. He had gone into heaven, and He stands before God now and He carries you on his heart.
