Beginning in the late 1960s, Glen Campbell was closely associated with Chevrolet ("Chevy"), a Division of General Motors, a major automotive brand and sponsor of the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour broadcasts on prime time network TV in the U.S.A. As part of the network sponsorship contract, Glen also appeared in several Chevy commercials singing catchy advertising jingles. FAST FORWARD TO 1987: we see Glen's enthusiastic celebrity endorsement for a different automobile maker, Ford Motor Company, singing one of that corporation's most successful jingles, "See your hometown Ford dealer! Have you driven a Ford lately?"
