A few excerpts from a four hour improvisational ambient performance I did recently at the Cityfox Experience at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn, NY.
This set was built using a Moog Sub Phatty, Circuit Bent Roland TR-626, a tape player for sampling old vocal recordings, a lap steel guitar, and a piano with a few VST instruments being played by the piano.
The core of the performance was built around sending instruments through variable delays that act as endless loops with different pitch offsets, creating slow shifting arrhythmic textures, though the moments captured by a friend shown here (later in the performance) were typically a bit higher energy as more people came.
The Brooklyn Mirage, a large open air venue connected to Avant Gardner had EDM style DJ performances taking place while The Great Hall where this was performed acted as a lounge/chill room and entrance to the venue.
