The Glacial Grooves Geological Preserve on Kelleys Island features the world’s largest accessible examples of glacial scouring. Located on Lake Erie, these 400-million-year-old limestone grooves are 400 feet long, 35 feet wide, and up to 10 feet deep, carved 20,000 years ago by massive ice sheets.
