Egypt - Thursday, June 6th, 2019 [Day 2]
Giza Teasa - makes sense if you say it with a Boston accent.
Laughable short bus ride to the Giza Plateau to look at a Basalt floor for evidence of "advance machining" and then a photo op. I managed to stray a bit for other pictures, but overall disappointed because I expected a full day at Giza.
I learned from this experience and stop staying with the guides. We also visit Giza on our own on the last day (against the advice of the guides).

Second site of the day - Elephantine Island. Mostly in ruins, but has two Nilometers (I didnt see either), a possible 3rd Dynasty Pyramid (didnt see that either), and a megalithic box/shrine ... I totally saw that.

Private visit to Abu Rawash. Police and armed official escort, blocked from walking around the entire pyramid and/or exploring the causeway. It seemed like a case of law enforcement wanting their palms thoroughly greased.
