Meet Courtney and her best friend, Ira Rose, two Black Girls Code campers who turned a week of learning into a game about protecting the planet. With support from instructors and parents, they built “Saving the Earth,” a project that uses quizzes and recycling challenges, explored AI tools, and presented their work to the community. Their parents share why early exposure matters, how camp builds confidence, and why seeing representation in tech changes what kids believe is possible.
