A teenage girl, grounded for breaking the rules one too many times, decides she’s not missing her homecoming night — no matter what her parents say. As the clock strikes ten, she quietly pushes her bedroom window open, her sequined dress glittering faintly in the moonlight. She slips down the ladder she stashed earlier, heels in hand, and disappears into the cool night air toward the distant sound of music and laughter.

Back inside, her dad notices the open window and the missing shoes by the door. Frustration turns into determination as he grabs his flashlight and car keys, muttering, “I just want one normal night.” The beam of light cuts through the darkness as he searches the neighborhood, following faint echoes of the school dance — a mix of thumping bass and teenage voices — hoping to find his runaway daughter before the night spirals even more out of control.
