The Gipfel für Forschung und Innovation 2025 (Summit for Research and Innovation) took place on 7 November 2025 during the Falling Walls Science Summit 2025 in Berlin.
The Summit for Research and Innovation was initiated by the Stifterverband, Nationale Akademie der Wissenschaften Leopoldina, VolkswagenStiftung and EFI – Expertenkommission Forschung und Innovation.
Panel 1– Structural Changes in the Research and Innovation System, moderated by Prof. Dr. Irene Bertschek, Chairwoman of the Expert Commission for Research and Innovation (EFI), explores the structural transformations needed for Germany’s and Europe’s research and innovation systems to meet increasing global challenges.
