After the defeat of Jotaros allies by DIO and his servants, Jotaro was left to face DIO alone. DIO absorbed Josephs blood and powered up, and then the fight ensued. By discovering how to stop time himself, Jotaro defeated DIO. Later, Jotaro discovered DIOs notebook listing the requirements on how to achieve heaven, and he burned it so that no one else could discover it. Old Joseph arrives saying that Polnareff recovered at the hospital, and they go visit him. They say their goodbyes at the airport, but just then, Speedwagon arrives out of nowhere.
He says he recognizes that Joseph and Jotaro are descendants from Jonathans bloodline. As he is about to introduce himself, Polnareff comes running back to them with injuries. He was attacked by...Avdol and Iggy! They decide to run away because its too dangerous to fight in the airport with all the people there, and reach the rooftops of Cairo. After defeating Avdol and Iggy (who then disappear in a purple light), Kakyoin and Ndoul show up and challenge them as well. Once they are defeated, Ndoul manages to escape, leaving Kakyoin behind. Speedwagon shows up again and heals Kakyoin with a corpse part. He is confused as to where he is, and the last thing he remembers is discovering DIOs power. Old Joseph explains that DIO was already defeated, and asks Speedwagon whats going on. Speedwagon explains who he is, as well as the situation with the corpse parts. The gang decide to trust him, and will cooperate with him in finding the rest of the corpse parts, as it has a chance to bring back Avdol and Iggy.
