In August 2022, the DOJ brought a case against Penguin Random House who wants to buy out Simon and Schuster turning the Big Five publishers into the Big Four and I want to discuss WHY this is bad for authors, especially since Barnes and Nobles has announced they are scaling back Hardback Book stock.
