Many believers in Jesus/Yeshua have heard the song "There is a balm in Gilead." The picture is of the plant located in the region from which a healing balm is made.
Fewer will understand that the area of Gilead was in the ancient borders of Israel to the east of the Jordan River. As of this date, Gilead is contained within the borders of the nation state of Jordan. Although NOT located within ancient Israel's borders, the ancient boundaries for Moab, Ammon and Edom.
Nathan Harmon as a heart for Gilead and has spent a lot of time in prayer and study for what is prophetically in store for this region of the world.
Questions we may discuss is just as Israel was protected in the wilderness during the initial exodus, will there be a place of protection for ALL of Israel at the end of the age during the great tribulation? s it significant that the "King of the North" in Daniel 1 subdues the "glorious land" and surrounding areas .... but is unable to conquer the ancient region God allotted to the "relatives" of Abraham, Issacc and aJacob.
