In late May i traveled to the southwest and embarked on a 3 night/4 day backpacking trip in the Gila National Forest in western New Mexico with my two cousins Dan and Mike. The trip didn't go according to plan as me and Dan were more outa-shape than we wanted to admit, but we both vowed to return IN shape to tackle the 36 mile loop we set out to accomplish. We still made the best of it and had a blast exploring what this part of the country had to offer. We saw a bear, a rattlesnake, tons of fish, and epic scenery. Can't wait to go out with these guys again. Miss them both already!!
