This skip worked in 1.06 - 1.07. No longer works
I was messing around with weapons and skipping gideon. (I'm aware malenias blade and radagons hammer are ideal HOWEVER this is with big knife)
Steps:
square off ash of war on left hand (or unshethe can work)
right hand black knife or blade of calling
go on this fat branch
SLOWLY climb up it once you've reached the apex (it's easier to do with a mouse and keyboard holding alt)
do one quick turn to look at the plants
use any item that doesn't move you forward
tap R2/ash of war button near the end of the animation
quickly equip the Devourer's Scepter in your left hand
close the menu and wait a little till the ash of war lifts you up in the air a bit
run like hell
