GibOil is investigating the potential contamination of one of its fuel tanks at its Winston Churchill Avenue service station.
The station was closed for a period yesterday while testing was carried out. GBC understands the issue is thought to have arisen from a fuel delivery. As a result, one of the pumps was identified and isolated.
The station has since reopened as normal, with work continuing to pump fuel out of the tank to access its sensors before pumping it back in.
Using CCTV footage, four vehicle owners who used the pump have been contacted.
Inquiries are ongoing.
