Today I'm at DT Kirby's in Lafayette, Indiana, attempting their Recipe for Disaster Challenge alongside fellow competitive eater James Webb! Challengers have 45 minutes to finish a giant platter of their street food. A hot dog, two sandwiches, many sides, and a giant glass of soda. At 35 minutes, if the restaurant feels you're going to beat the challenge, they have the option to add another sandwich to the challenge, so we better eat fast! Winners get the meal for free and go on their wall of fame. If you are unsuccessful, you pay $40 for the meal and take home leftovers.
